All Braava mops are mopping robots only, which means they're not meant to be vacuumed, though they all have a dry or dusting mode where they'll dust the floor with an included dry pad but if there's any large debris it'll just push it out of the way.

2.     iRobot Braava jet m6 Review:

The Braava jet m6 is the most recent and advanced Braava robot mop. It is the most expensive anyway. Jet M6 has a detachable water tank and the possibility to attach a dry or wet pad that can be disposable or reusable.

Jet M6 detects mopping mode and switches to it automatically. You can, however, use the app to fine-tune the amount of water it sprays and a few other settings.

The Braava M6 cleans in a different way than the other models in that it no longer uses a y-shaped pattern and instead uses a straight back and forth motion. Even in mopping mode, it no longer has the vibrating head of the Jet 240, but the end result is a cleaning ability that is very similar to the Jet 240.

Reasons to buy:

  1. The Braava m6 is the first all-in-one mopping robot with a camera that maps out your home and cleans it room by room.
  2. M6 returns to the dock to recharge itself, and because it's a smart navigation robot, it has a feature called Recharge and Resume, which means that if it runs out of battery, it will return to the base to recharge and then resume cleaning when it's fully charged, exactly where it left off on its map, so battery life isn't an issue.

  1. To keep the M6 out of places you don't want it to go, you can draw little boxes on the map in the app.
  2. It also has a room select feature, which allows you to tell it to clean one room but not the other.
  3. M6 has a cool feature that connects with some vacuum cleaners and starts mopping as soon as they finish vacuuming.

  1. The M6 mopping pad gets dirty by the end of its run.  When that mopping pad gets dirty enough, it leaves visible streaks, which look like tire marks.

3.      iRobot Braava Jet 240 Review:

The cheapest Braava mop is the iRobot Jet 240. It works by filling an internal tank with up to 0.15 litres of water, after which you attach one of the included disposable mopping pads, which are labelled dry, damp, or wet. The robot reads the small card on the back of the pad and automatically adjusts the amount of water sprayed based on which pad was inserted.

It mops by spraying a small amount of water in front of the space and then cleaning the area in a back-and-forth Y-shaped pattern. In dry mode, its direction is usually straight back and forth lines.

Reasons to buy:

  1. It’s cheaper
  2. The iRobot Braava Jet 240 removes tough stains in fewer passes than any other Braava mops model.

  1. The iRobot Braava Jet 240 is distinct from other Brava mops because it is the only one with a vibrating mop head to help loosen stuck-on debris.
  2. Braava Jet 240 has a mopping capacity of 150 square feet and a dusting capacity of 350 square feet.
  3. Braava Jet 240  comes with one removable battery, and replacements or extras are easy to purchase online.

  1. Braava Jet 240 requires a new cleaning pad on a regular basis, which implies more maintenance.

4.     iRobot Braava 380t Review:

The Jet 380T is next after the Jet 240 in terms of price. However, it was released (in 2013) before the Jet 240 (in 2016)

Furthermore, the Braava Jet 380t comes with a device called the Navigation Cube, which you must place in the centre of the area you want it to clean, and it will act as a kind of radio beacon, allowing the bots to clean larger areas systematically.

In mopping mode, the Navigation Cube provides an additional 50 square feet of coverage over the 240.

Reasons to buy:

  1. The Braava Jet 380T can clean larger areas than the Jet 240 because it has a longer battery life than the Jet 240.
  2. It is averagely cheap. A little more expensive than Jet 240.
  3. You can use any type of microfiber fabric as long as it is cut in the same way as the included pads.

  1. It removes the tough dried vegetable juice stains in a single pass.
  2. Instead of shooting water in front of the mopping path, the Braava jet 380 t has a detachable mopping plate with a water tank on top where the water simply soaks into the pad at a constant rate.

  1. The Jet 380 t's battery is internal, and you have to manually place it on its charging dock to recharge it, which is inconvenient and may cause maintenance issues.
  2. You cannot purchase additional navigation cubes and overlap them to cover larger areas.

5.      iRobot Braava 390t Review:

If you have a large space with a wooden or tiled floor that constantly attracts dog hairs, the Braava 390t is a good choice. The Braava Jet 390t also includes a Navigation Cube, similar to the 380t.

Reasons to buy:

  1. It has a longer lifespan than other mop models
  2. It covers more square feet while mopping and sweeping.

  1. The Braava 390t has a battery lifespan of up to 210 minutes when sweeping and mopping.
  2. Jet 390t is compatible with other third-party microfibre pads and disposable cleaning pads.

  1. Large amounts of liquid are difficult for the Braava 390t when compared with others.
  2. The robot mop is quite expensive.
  3. It lacks a well-positioned handle for grip when charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Braava safe to be around dogs?

Yes! All Braava robot mops are seen to be pet-safe, implying that they are also child-safe.

Does Braava mop pet hair?

No! Because it is not a vacuum cleaner, it does not pick up anything. Particles like that can only become stuck on the pad.

Can Vacuum cleaner and Braava Mop combos at the same time?

Yes! They work together, but it may be an expensive option. The iRobot Roomba i7+ and Braava Jet m6 models are the best examples of such a dynamic duo.

Can I use Braava robot mops on different floors?

Yes! Brava mop floors such as hardwood, tile, and stone floors.
